What can scraping do for you?

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Scraping is part of a data journalist’s routine. There’s an inexpensive, point-and-click way to collect unstructured data and turn it into spreadsheets, or harvest an image table into Excel-readable formats. Bring your own laptop, with admin rights, to this scraping without coding session. PCs only. WIndows only, no Macs.

*We recommend that you pre-download the scraper from http://www.heliumscraper.com/ to avoid delays in class, but no more than two days in advance, as the license-free version has a very short life.
