Investigated sexual abuse in the Roman Catholic Church. Wrote 'Een verzwegen leven', a non-fiction account of the investigative reporting into clerical sex abuse (and a personal memoir). Now teaching journalism at University of Groningen and Leiden University College, but dying to sink my teeth into some investigative reporting again!

Winner of De Loep 2010, category: Print, De Hofland Tegel 2010, and the title 'Journalist van het Jaar' 2010. All prizes co-awarded to Joep Dohmen. Previously winner of New York Festival prizes for radio documentaries in the categories Commentary and Analysis (2002) and Youth Programming (1994).
